Those are just a few of the restaurants that I have visited in Albufeira  -I  will be adding more as time passes . The following are  places I will  return to again and again for the quality of the food rather than the prices  on the Menu.

Il Vesuvio:

A lovely Bar/restaurant , IL VESUVIO, is a few minutes walk from the villa . Open for Lunch and Dinner.   Italian  cuisine  using fresh local produce and prepared by a master chef. A Tourist Menu consisting of 3 courses for 11.90 e has to be one of the best value meals  in the Algarve. Quality food  served by friendly staff at reasonable prices.           £****

Now under New Management .Portuguese  and very nice . 2017

O Poente:   Rua Brejos, Albufeira.

Located  5  minutes drive from the villa , this great Portuguese restaurant is hard to beat for quality and value. Always busy and frequented  by locals and tourists alike . A little off the beaten track -North at the Globe/Bullring roundabout - but well worth the effort . Friendly waiting staff who are very helpful with a good level of English.                                                     £****

Restaurante O Manuel: Travessa 25 de Abril, Olhos de Aqua.

Another 5 minutes drive to Olhas de Aqua and another great value  varied  menu . The usuall superb fish dishes , salads and steak on a stone ,will cover all bases .

Friendly staff ,laid back ,not a quick in and out place ,and all the better for it . A long and languid evening of food and wine in a nicely decorated cozy atmosphere .                                              ££***

Cabanitas: At the Vale de Parra roundabout .

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at very good prices . Good food and well priced drinks . Locals and multi regional tourists from the       appartment complex across the road keep this bar and restaurant busy from the large breakfast to late dinner . Its bar area is smallish so holiday makers soon make friends with their "new " neighbours .Very friendly .                         ££***

Villa Joya: Praia da Gale.

The dress code , Casual Elegant, just about sais it all about this 2 Michelan star restaurant . Lunch ,89e pp.not including drinks, was an epic affair .  Three courses stretched to 7 which included an amuse bouche ,2 palate cleansers and an offering "from the chef, just for you ".The waiter was charm to the heels and described each presentation (and it was a presentation) in detail .Views, service and food were flawless.  For a one off, totally worth it .             £££££.

Churrasqueira Beira: Rua Corcovada Santa Eulalia.

A Portuguese menu with the usual tourist items .We were 9 adults and 1 child on this outing . All had 3 courses  and  a variety of drinks  that was  served as ordered and in a timely manner ,with lots of smiles and chit chat .No complaints, and everyone well pleased with the food and venue . We got the Tourist Train to Fishermans Beach for the free fireworks and New Years Eve concert .A great night had by all .                                                      ££***
